What is the Virtual Summit?
The 2020 Virtual Summit is what we used to call our “Zone Institute”. It is designed to let Rotarians share information, build connections, and exchange ideas about Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation.
What can I do at the Virtual Summit?
- network online with other Rotarians;
- get a quick, 20-minute overview of four key Rotary initiatives;
- take a deeper, 60-minute dive into one of several specific areas of interest;
- get a quick, 15-minute update on Rotary’s progress toward global Polio eradication;
- hear a humorous and motivational message about Rotaract.
- get new ideas on building your club’s membership;
- hear from the Rotary International President-Elect Shekhar Mehta or Foundation Trustee Ian Risely;
- get tips on leading your Rotary or work team through a crisis;
- and more, all without having to pay for registration, meals, travel or lodging!

All Rotarians including past and future Rotary leaders
Where will the Summit be held?
This is an online event. You do not have to travel to any specific location. You can participate anywhere that you have Internet access. The Summit is accessible from desktop, mobile and tablet devices.
Do I need to download or install any software to be able to attend the Summit?
No. You do not need to download or install any software to attend our conference. You will need to have access to the Internet. To attend breakout sessions, you will also need the free Zoom online meeting software.
Is a webcam required?
No. Some exhibitors may have the ability to request a video chat, but it is not required to participate. You will be able to interact with presenters and exhibitors by texting in a chat box.
Is a microphone required?
No. Some exhibitors may have the ability to request a voice chat, but it is not required to participate. You will be able to interact with presenters and exhibitors by texting in a chat box.
How do I login the day of the Summit?
You will receive login information after you register and will have to login to the Summit using the same email address and password you provided during registration.
Who do I contact if I have troubleshooting issues on the day of the Summit?
You will be able to receive technical assistance by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org for any technical assistance, or if you have already joined the Summit, by visiting the Help Desk in the Lobby.
Will I be able to take away information or brochures from the Summit?
Yes. Like any in-person event, we will have a “goodie” bag for you! You can add documents provided by presenters, vendors, and exhibitors to your online “goodie” bag and then email them to yourself or share items with friends and family by simply entering their email.
Can I invite my friends to attend the Summit?
Absolutely. We are counting on you to invite others! Help us spread the word. You can simply share the link to the registration page at (add address) and they can register at their convenience.
The times for the live event are not convenient for me. Can I still participate in the Summit?
We understand your schedule may not allow you to attend part or all of the one-day Summit. The Summit website will be available on-demand for one month after the event is over.
