Environment Gets New Partnership

At the International Assembly in January, Rotary announced a new partnership with the United Nations Environment Program. It is called, “Community Action for Fresh Water” and aims to protect, restore, and sustain waterways worldwide. Our new collaboration unites Rotary International’s community-based solutions with UNEP’s technical expertise and builds on the success of a 2020 pilot program, “Adopt a River for Sustainable Development”. Drawing on Rotarians’ volunteer power and UNEP’s guidance, it promised to create projects with lasting environmental impact.
