Zones 30 & 31
A community of Rotarians in the Heart of America
Our paired Zones encompass 31 districts in 13 states. We have over 1450 Rotary clubs with a membership of over 63,000 Rotarians. We are Business Professionals and Community Leaders, engaged in Fellowship and Service Above Self activities within our communities both locally and around the world.
Operation Full Plate: United to Fight Hunger — a friendly competition between Zones 30 & 31 to make a measurable impact on food insecurity while creating opportunities for engagement and membership growth.
How it works:
Clubs choose any hunger-focused service project(s): food drives, fundraising, volunteering at pantries, meal packing, etc., then report their impact. Districts are encouraged to designate a lead contact person for Operation Full Plate to collect club-level data. Districts may develop their own method for collecting club-level data or use this customizable Google Form Template. At the conclusion of the campaign on January 10, district leads will receive a link to report their district totals.

“I use Rotary Direct because it makes it so easy for me to give to The Foundation. I don’t have to remember to make my donations, and I know my support is going towards projects that improve the lives of people in need.”

Zone Resources
The primary goal of Zones 30-31 is to provide guidance and resources to our districts and clubs to help them become the most effective Rotary leaders.
Our mission is to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our dedicated efforts in Foundation, Membership, and Public Image. As we strive to create lasting change, we are guided by Rotary’s Action Plan which includes four key priorities:
INCREASE OUR
IMPACT
Our Foundation advances world understanding, goodwill, and peace thru increasing our impact with our work in the seven areas of focus and our PolioPlus efforts.
EXPAND OUR
REACH
We expand our reach by growing our membership, engaging members, and promoting diversity and inclusion to reflect the communities we serve.
We enhance participant engagement by raising awareness of Rotary’s impact, sharing success stories, and ensuring consistent and positive representation of our brand.
We increase our ability to adapt by fostering a dynamic network across the Heart of America, reflecting our diverse cultures, clubs and districts.
Our Causes
Rotary is dedicated to causes that build international relationships, improve lives, and create a better world to support our peace efforts and end polio forever.
Promoting
Peace
Rotary encourages conversations to foster understanding within and across cultures. We train adults and young leaders to prevent and mediate conflict and help refugees who have fled dangerous areas.
Fighting
Disease
We educate and equip communities to stop the spread of life-threatening diseases like polio, HIV/AIDS, and malaria. We improve and expand access to low-cost and free health care in developing areas..
Providing Clean Water
We support local solutions to bring clean water, sanitation, and hygiene to more people every day. We don’t just build wells and walk away. We share our expertise with community leaders and educators to make sure our projects succeed long-term.
Maternal & Child Health
Nearly 6 million children under the age of five die each year because of malnutrition, poor health care, and inadequate sanitation. We expand access to quality care, so mothers and their children can live and grow stronger.
Basic Education and Literacy
More than 775 million people over the age of 15 are illiterate. Our goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase adult literacy.
Growing Local Economies
We carry out service projects that enhance economic and community development and create opportunities for decent and productive work for young and old.
Protecting the Environment
Rotary members are tackling environmental issues the way they always do: coming up with projects, using their connections to change policy and planning for the future.
WE CONNECT PEOPLE
Rotary unites more than a million people
Through Rotary clubs, people from all continents and cultures come together to exchange ideas, and form friendships and professional connections while making a difference in their backyards and around the world.
WE TRANSFORM COMMUNITIES
We take action locally and globally
Each day, our members pour their passion, integrity, and intelligence into completing projects that have a lasting impact. We persevere until we deliver real, lasting solutions.
WE SOLVE PROBLEMS
No challenge is too big for us
For more than 110 years, we’ve bridged cultures and connected continents to champion peace, fight illiteracy and poverty, promote clean water and sanitation, and fight disease.
