Poliovirus cases and positive environmental isolates reported this week:
- Afghanistan: There have been four WPV1 cases this year and there were 21 in 2025. The most recent case was on April 2, 2026.
- Chad: Two cVDPV2 cases, no cVDPV2-positive environmental samples, and one cVDPV3 case
- Ethiopia: Two cVDPV1 cases and no cVDPV2 cases
- Madagascar: One cVDPV1 cases
- Nigeria: One cVDPV2 cases, no cVDPV2-positive environmental sample, and no cVDPV3 cases
- Pakistan: No WPV1 cases and Three WPV1-positive environmental samples. There have been three WPV1 cases this year and there were 31 in 2025. The most recent case was on February 10, 2026
