On March 17th, the Rotary Action group for Peace hosted two orientation and information sessions introducing the Rotarians for Peace Design Sprint, a new initiative designed to support the development of peace-focused initiatives, helping participants move from interest in peacebuilding to actionable, well-structured projects. Recognizing that not everyone was able to attend, those who registered can get an overview of the program, along with key details and next steps, to help them understand the opportunity and prepare accordingly. The program is intended for participants who are ready to actively work on a project. Applications are submitted as a team, typically composed of 3–7 people. Teams may come from a club, district, chapter, or a combination. Participants do not all need to be Rotarians, but must be active members of the Rotary Action Group for Peace. Passive participation or observation is not part of this program. Teams should come with: either a new project idea, or an existing project they wish to strengthen through a peacebuilding approach
Applications are now open with an application deadline of April 17th. Programs will be from 1:00-4:00 (Eastern) and run from June through October.
