Day one kicked off with The Rotary Show starring Brian Hall, a “talk show” format General Session with Director Brian Hall serving as our host and Institute General Chair Craig Maxey filling the  “sidekick” rile. Guests included R.I. Past Presidents Ravi Ravindran and Ian Riseley.

After a break for attendees to imbibe some liquid refreshments, The Rotary Show continued. We were favored with a guest appearance by Carnac the Magnificent, who accurately predicted the contents of questions contained in sealed envelopes which had been stored in a mayonnaise jar since earlier that morning.

The session continued with Director Brian interviewing guests Rotary Foundation Trustee Vicky Pulitz and R.I. President Nominee Larry Lunsford.

The third and final General Session of the day featured Alex Sheen, who you may have seen featured on TV or the internet, speaking about, “because I said I would”, his promise keeping and resiliency endeavor, who spoke passionately about his motivations for starting the project, its successes, and how we can all become involved.

The day ended with a massive Tailgate Party with food, drinks, live music and fellowship.
