Earlier today at Rotary’s International Assembly in Orlando, attendees received Rotary International President-elect Olayinka H. Babalola’s message to “Create Lasting Impact”. Acknowledging that “As members of Rotary, we share a vision of a better future,” he said that “To make this vision a reality, we must acknowledge and unleash the change within ourselves. We must focus not only on outcomes, but on impact.”

Explaining that “Impact is what endures”, he noted that although Rotary has changed to become more welcoming, it still hasn’t changed enough, noting that young people aren’t necessarily treated with respect, and that people with different ideas and backgrounds aren’t always made to feel welcome.
