A recently-released video from Past R.I. President and Rotary Foundation Trustee Chair Mark Maloney encourages us as Rotary leaders to lead by example in making our annual gifts to our Foundation. We need to recognize that many of our members know little about our Foundation, or have only heard about our on-going effort to eradicate Polio. Making our own gifts early in the Rotary year and explaining why we are motivated to do so is a great way to help others learn about the wide range of humanitarian initiatives and other sustainable member-led projects which keep communities healthy and strong.

Consider these action items:

• send special messages for Rotary clubs whose entire membership donated to The Rotary Foundation;
• recognize Rotaract clubs that received their Rotaract Giving Certificate;
• show the collective impact that our donors have when they give to our Foundation.
