The 2024-25 Rotary Youth Exchange annual report has been released. It’s the third report since the in-person Rotary Youth Exchange program resumed after the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Participation in all levels of the program increased last year, from the number of students to the number of host families and other volunteers. These positive trends show the desire of Rotary and Rotaract club members around the world to continue building peace by enhancing cultural understanding and serving youth.
Some highlights:
- 384 Rotary districts actively participated in Rotary Youth Exchange
- 4,497 clubs participated, involving 21,822 volunteers
- 51 countries hosted students or sent students on exchange.
- There were 9,729 families, in 241 districts, hosting 7,290 students who performed 76,380 hours of service in their host communities
- 61% of exchanges were long-term and 38% short-term
- 50.5% of the students were hosted in Europe and 22% in North America
