Rotary has made incredible progress toward eradicating polio, cheering as regions of the world were certified polio-free. We’ve contained wild poliovirus to just two countries, Afghanistan and Pakistan, but polio anywhere will always be a threat to children everywhere. We promised the world’s children that they won’t have to fear being paralyzed by polio.
World Polio Day is coming up on October 24th and it’s an important opportunity to raise awareness and funds. What are the clubs in YOUR district doing? Whether hosting an activity or participating in a joint event, tell the media and your social network about it! To eradicate polio, we need everyone’s support.
