At the closing session of last week’s 2026 Rotary International Convention in Taipei, our Zones’ own Larry Lunsford and family were introduced to the world. Barring a challenge, he will officially become the president-elect on September 15th, to serve in the 2027-28 Rotary year.

A Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholar to Australia in 1981-82, Larry has been a member of the Rotary Club of Kansas City-Plaza, Missouri since 1991. He served as district governor in 2001-02, a RI director in 2013-15, as a trustee of The Rotary Foundation in 2021-25, and as vice chair in 2024-25.
