Read This if You’re Ambitious and Driven

Each year since 2021, The Rotary Foundation has awarded one Programs of Scale grant for up to $2,000,000. Applicants face stiff competition from numerous worthy applicants. Concept notes are due August 1st for the 2025 competition. A new requirement for this year is that applicants must secure cash contributions from one or more non-Rotary program partners totaling at least $500,000. (I told you this was for the ambitious!)

Past recipients were:

  • 2021: Partners for a Malaria-Free Zambia, a malaria elimination program to reduce cases of malaria, particularly for pregnant women and children under 5 – in ten districts in two provinces in Zambia. It is reaching 1.2 million people
  • 2022: Together for Healthy Families in Nigeria, fostering the health of mothers and newborns, is working to reduce maternal and neo-natal mortality rate by improving health seeking behavior and quality care for pregnant women, mothers, and newborns in Nigeria
  • 2023: United to End Cervical Cancer in Egypt, a four-year campaign led by Rotarians with an aim to reduce the number of cervical cancer cases in the greater Cairo, Egypt region by increasing awareness about cervical cancer and how to prevent it.
