Stars Aligning in Rocket City

Following on this week’s solar eclipse, prepare yourself for another celestial event as we gather in Huntsville for this year’s Institute. Registration has opened for our annual gathering, running this year from September 5th to 8th. DGEs and DGNs sessions will begin on Tuesday afternoon, DGs start on Wednesday, and PDGs and other attendees program begins on Thursday.

Thursday’s opening session and evening event will be held at the US Space and Rocket Center. If you were with us the last time we were in Rocket City in 2013, you remember how great that was and won’t believe all the new exhibits. If this will be your first visit, prepare to be amazed! On Friday, join Rotarians from around the region for the All Club Luncheon and Keynote presentation. Saturday’s sessions wrap up with the Director’s dinner and keynote address, then join us Sunday morning to celebrate and remember the lives of fellow Rotarians who’ve completed their lives of service, before we all say farewell to each other at the closing session.

In addition to the numerous learning opportunities you’ll have, the planning committee has lined up a galaxy of stellar speakers for our general sessions, including leaders from Rotary International, The Rotary Foundation, UNICEF, NASA, TeacHaiti, and the Alex Montoya Foundation. Head over to the Zones’ website and click on the Institute tab to book your rooms and get registered. The Institute venue and hotel are connected by a covered walkway, so book early to assure you’re near all the action.
