Guatemala Literacy Project

Rotary clubs and districts are invited to partner on a Global Grant for the Guatemala Literacy Project, a $415,000 initiative that will impact more than 600,000 indigenous students and teachers in rural Guatemala. This long-standing Rotary-led partnership supports education through textbooks, literacy training, and technology programs. Full details, including the Request for Funding summary, are available on the project’s website to share with club and district international service committees. This is a great opportunity for clubs to contribute financially and be involved in a Global Grant.

In addition, Rotarians are invited to travel to Guatemala this February to see the project in action. A group of about 35 Rotarians and friends from across North America will visit GLP schools, meet students and teachers, and enjoy fellowship and cultural experiences with local Rotarians. Those interested in the trip can find more information and registration details online. This is a meaningful opportunity to witness Rotary’s impact firsthand while strengthening global connections.
