Give New Members the Start They Deserve

Not all clubs have the capacity to give new members a proper orientation into Rotary beyond the club level, especially smaller clubs. The better they understand the reach and scope of Rotary International, the better our chances of retaining and engaging them as members. Consider having each new member commit to completing the “New Member Basics” course in The Learning Center. They’ll get a good introduction to Rotary Basics, The Rotary Foundation, How they fit in to Rotary’s Action Plan, and how Rotary is addressing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

The full course takes under two hours to complete and is a good way to show new Rotarians and Rotaractors how to take full advantage of their membership.
