Rotary Float Wins Princess Trophy

If you weren’t among the millions of people watching the 2023 Tournament of Roses Parade on January 2nd, you missed seeing Rotary International’s entry, “Serving with Imagination and Hope”. In the parade’s 134th year, Rotary’s entry was the winner of the Princess Trophy for the most outstanding floral presentation for a float under 35 feet in length.

A project of the Rotary Rose Parade Float Committee, in the days leading up to the parade each year Rotarians donate funding and help decorate the float with the flowers and seeds needed to cover every square inch of visible space on the float. Rotary’s President, Jennifer Jones said, “Each year the Rotary Rose Parade Float Committee creates a world-class float that showcases Rotary – and with tens of millions of viewers, the Rose Parade is a great opportunity to elevate our message to communities far and wide.”
