New poliovirus cases and positive environmental isolates this week:
- Afghanistan: No WPV1 cases and 12 WPV1- positive environmental samples. The number of WPV1 cases in 2025 is four. There were 25 in 2024.
- Algeria: No cVDPV1 cases, no cVDPV2 cases, no cVDPV1-positive environmental samples, and one cVDPV2-positive environmental sample
- Angola: No cVDPV1 cases, three cVDPV2 cases, and no cVDPV2-positive environmental samples
- Nigeria: No cVDPV1 cases, four cVDPV2 cases, and no cVDPV2-positive environmental samples
- Pakistan: two WPV1 cases and 50 WPV1-positive environmental samples. The number of WPV1 cases in 2025 is 26. There were 74 in 2024.
