We are closer than ever to ending Polio, with only one case of the wild Poliovirus this year (as of May 3rd), with that case being reported from Bannu, part of the seven polio-endemic districts located in the southern area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. We here in the Heart of America can play our largest role by fundraising. In addition to contributing a portion of your district’s DDF, and other fundraisers, another tool is the creation of a PolioPlus Society in your district to encourage Rotary members to give a minimum of $100 a year to the PolioPlus fund until we achieve our goal of eradicating polio.
