As the end of the calendar year approaches, so do several Rotary deadlines. Club Officer Appointments and updated club membership rosters are due to R.I. headquarters by December 31st. Most clubs’ bylaws require nominations and voting before then, so NOW is the time to check on those items.

Each year, Rotary International awards those Interact clubs producing the best videos. Awards will be given for best video, best photo, and best essay. One club will be awarded in each category and receive a financial award from Rotary International to support the Interact club’s service project, as well as an award plaque and letter from the Rotary International President. Finally, at year end your District Rotary Foundation Committee may nominate a single candidate who has demonstrated outstanding active service to The Rotary Foundation for more than one year for The Rotary Foundation’s Citation for Meritorious Service. The nominee may be any Rotarian or Rotaractor in good standing, except current, incoming, and immediate past district governors, RI directors, and Rotary Foundation trustees. A person can receive this award only once, and the committee’s nomination requires the endorsement of the District Governor.
