World Polio Day Events Livestreams

There will be two livestreams of events for World Polio Day. Rotary and the World Health Organization will host online events on two days, tomorrow and Saturday (October 21st and 22nd). WHO’s director-general will join RI President Jennifer Jones to discuss the current state of polio eradication, including how it relates to global health.

On Friday, October 21st, the focus will be on polio eradication. On Saturday, October 22nd, the day transitions to the power of preventative care and community health, particularly as it relates to mothers and children. Breakout sessions will highlight local needs and opportunities for collaboration. Friday’s program runs from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Central Time and Saturday’s from 1:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Central Time.
