New poliovirus cases and positive environmental isolates this week:
- Afghanistan: The number of WPV1 cases in 2025 is four. There were 25 in 2024.
- Algeria: no cVDPV2 cases and one cVDPV2 positive environmental sample
- Chad: two cVDPV2 cases, one cVDPV3 case, and two positive environmental samples.
- Nigeria: four cVDPV2 cases and no positive environmental samples.
- Somalia: one cVDPV2 case and one cVDPV2-positive environmental sample
- Tanzania: no cVDPV2 cases and one cVDPV2-positive environmental sample
- Pakistan: The number of WPV1 cases in 2025 is 24. There were 74 in 2024.
