August 2022 Clean Water Crisis
Recent flooding has resulted in a crisis of clean water for Jackson’s 180,000 residents, pushing the city’ already compromised water system to breakdown. The consequences for the education, health and nutrition of children are especially dire. Schools have been closed due to lack of functioning bathrooms and kitchens. Parents struggle to feed their children due to a lack of clean water for cooking.
Please help the people of Jackson Mississippi who have been affected by the recent municipal water supply outage.
