Polio Immunization NID Opportunity

PDG Bill Petty (D6860 AL) shares with us this opportunity to participate in a Polio Immunization trip to Agra, India. Bill has organized and gone on similar trips with many Rotarians over the past six years, with interruptions during the COVID pandemic. His Rotarian contact in India is the owner of a travel agency there and is experienced in taking care of Rotarians and academics on similar trips. While not sponsored or endorsed by Rotary International or Zones 30 and 31, this may be your opportunity to deliver this kind of “hands-on” Service Above Self.

This year’s seven day trip to participate in delivering the Polio vaccine will start on October 19th, arriving in New Delhi and traveling to Agra to participate in immunizations there. The following days are sightseeing, including several local Rotary projects. There is an option to extend your trip to thirteen days, adding a week and ending on October 31st. This second week includes additional sightseeing, including a rail trip to a tiger reserve, Jaipur City and more. See the flyers and forms below, or click here for more details, the signup form, and photos from past similar trips. See more about The Rotary Club of Agra Tajmahal’s Polio Volunteers & Projects on its Facebook page.
