Poliovirus cases and positive environmental isolates reported this week:
- Afghanistan: one WPV1 case and twenty WPV1-positive environmental samples. The most recent case was on November 21, 2025. There were 21 cases in 2025. (Although a 2025 WPV1 case was reported this week, there have been no new cases reported in 2026.)
- Angola: one cVDPV2 case and no cVDPV2-positive environmental samples
- Chad: no cVDPV2 cases, one cVDPV2-positive environmental sample and no cVDPV3 cases
- Nigeria: two cVDPV2 cases, no cVDPV2-positive environmental samples, and no cVDPV3 cases
- Pakistan: no WPV1 cases and seven WPV1-positive environmental samples. The most recent case was on February 10, 2026. There has been one case in 2026 and there were 31 cases in 2025.
- Somalia: one cVDPV2 case and one cVDPV2-positive environmental sample
